    Buried
    • I'm not at all clear on where he's buried. He’s memorialized on the “Tablets of the Missing” at Suresnes American Cemetery in Paris and is listed as “Missing in Action.” But his Army Death Record reports that he died of pneumonia, and the memorial at Find-A-Grave says “Died on the S.S. (sic) Carpathia, buried at sea according to military records.” His death notice in the Marietta Monitor notes that he died four days after arriving in France.
