Obituary of Glen M. Fulton

MACKSBURG - Glen M. Fulton, 88, of Macksburg, passed away at 10:52 p.m. on Friday (Dec. 19, 2008) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Aug. 29, 1920, in Washington County, Ohio, to Clarence and Claire Williams Fulton. Glen was a veteran of World War II, serving in the medic detachment of the U.S. Army. He was an electrician, a member of Aurelius Masonic Lodge 308, VFW Post 5108, American Legion Post 64, Scottish Rite and York Rite, Marietta Shrine Club, and IBEW 972.

On June 21, 1947, he married Helen Spindler, who survives with two sons and two daughters, Gary (Lynn) Fulton of Montana, Roy (Sherie) Fulton of Wingett Run, and Sherry Fulton and Donna Loar of the home; grandchildren, John Fulton, Amber Huber, Luke Castin, Autumn Heiner, Hank Castin, Ross Fulton and Tony Sloan; 10 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Leslie Fulton, and sister, Ruth Wasson, both of Warner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Ricky Fulton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 23) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Mahaffey officiating. Burial will be in Salem Township Cemetery with full military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on Monday until the hour of the service.
