Obituary of Ruth B. Wasson



MACKSBURG - Ruth B. Wasson, 85, of Macksburg, passed away at 4:48 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 7, 2010) at Selby General Hospital.

She was born on April 19, 1925, in Lower Salem, a daughter of Clarence and Clara Williams Fulton. She was a graduate of Lower Salem High School with the class of 1943. Ruth worked in the Sylvania Tube Plant and a propeller plant in Marietta during World War II and later at Broughton Restaurant. After she married Charles Wasson on Dec. 24, 1946, she was a homemaker and avid gardener.

Charles survives with three daughters, Janie (Richard) Montgomery of Dover, Roxie (Don) Grant of Parkersburg and Nancy (Paul) Dillon of Wooster; three grandchildren, Joyce Feutz, Melinda Rennicker and Angela Crowe; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leslie "Pete" (Mary) Fulton of Warner.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glen Fulton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday (Oct. 11) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, with Pastor Lou Verdi officiating. Burial will be in Salem Township. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on Sunday, with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
