  Notes	I've noted in several places that Nan tended to use her middle name for most purposes, as "Florence S. Baldinger" after she was married. For a long time, I chalked it up to another way for her to hide from her WV family and siblings. But her brother Abraham Lincoln Smith seemed to go by his middle name of Lincoln, and never, as far as I can tell, did it to hide from anyone. I wonder now if it was just a thing some of the Smiths did. She used "Reba Florence" on her marriage license in 1921.
