In Oren Morton’s work, A History of Pendleton County West Virginia, he's listed as a child of Michael and Mary Mallow. But Mary was Michael's second wife; Morton doesn't list his first wife, Margaret.
At the time of the Fort Seybert Massacre, Michael and Margaret had five children: Mary, Adam, and three who "died among the Indians." Henry was born in captivity and two others (Michael and Barbara) were born after Margaret returned from captivity. I don't know anything, though, about George, Thomas, or Sarah. There are apocryphal claims from two different families that a child named Sarah was one of the children lost in the massacre, but there's no information to substantiate those stories.
28 Jul 2025 - I'm leaving him connected to Mary Ingle Mallow for the time being, though I don't think she was his mother, if indeed he existed at all.
