  Text	Dated June 5, 1889. This John Charles MUELLER, born January 6, 1847 in Hesse-Darmstadt in Germany, states he emigrated on the ship Westphalia from Hamburg, on or about August 28, 1867. He states he resided 22 years in the U.S.; he resided from 1874 to 1889 in Austin, Texas. He says he was naturalized in the Superior Court of New York on December 20, 1873. Age 42. 5 feet, 9 inches tall. High forehead. Brown eyes. Long and broad nose. Medium size mouth. Bearded chin. Black hair. Sallow complexion. Thin face.
