  Text	William Eugene Singleback, age 79, of Willow Street in Johnsonburg, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at Elk Haven Nursing in St. Marys following a lengthy illness. He was born on July 25, 1929, in Johnsonburg, the son of George Walter Singleback Sr. and Frances (Fitch) Singleback. He is survived by one sister, Mary Fulton of Macksburg, Ohio; three nieces, Ann Devereux of Woodbridge, Va., Wendy Kellett of Auburndale, Fla. and Rebecca Safko of Pittsburgh. He was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, George Walter Singleback Jr. He was a graduate of Johnsonburg High, Class of 1947. He worked at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill for 45 years, retiring in 1992. He was an active member of the Kane Congregation of the Jehovah's Witness. He lived in Johnsonburg all his life. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the Kingdom Hall in Kane. Interment will be in McKean Memorial Park.
